I’ve had Alopecia for just over 2 yrs and one side of my head is pretty much gone now. Im a 44yr old male and wished to god that this wasn’t happening to me. Most people say to me I look ok bald but Im not BALD damn it! I have this thing called Alopecia and if you were to ask me I would tell you it has ruined my life. I have to shave my head everyday because I CAN’T wear a baseball hat to work.

When this first started and patches were falling out I didn’t really understand what was happening. I thought I was dying because I always heard if you lose more than a straw full of hair you were very sick and should seek medical attention. I was worried so I tried to go to work when people were not likely around the front doors. I would park my car and run into work so nobody would ask me what was wrong until that one day when this loser yelled across to me with about 40 other people right there listening said ” Dennis it looks like you got scalped by an Indian” well that put me off work for 2 months and one thing lead to another and I went back with a shaved head.

I’ve been doing this for the past year and a half now and Im about ready again to run and hide from the public. I’ve done all the different creams and 800 cortazone shots in my scalp. Where do I go from here? If anyone else has a suggestion on what I can do please feel free to email me and give me your ideas as Im running out of my own.
Does this ever go away I wonder ?
