Lazy eye and left eye is far and right eye is near

by: GiGi on Tue, Jan 22 2008

I have had a lazy eye at birth. Doctors said it was going to straighten in time. Well, never did. My right eye has been turning in for the last 30 yrs., and when tired, it turns in more. I’m not just self conscious, but I feel like it is affecting my vision. I am 20/20 in my right eye, and this the eye that is lazy. Now, I have been informed that my brain tells me to look out one eye at a time. So, trying to bring it all together is the hardest thing for eye exams, and when taking pictures due to lazy eye. I need to know what can I do. I want to know if corrective surgery would be an option, and if so what would it involve?
Thank you,
A Woman in Need
