To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Fully recovered in 2 weeks I woke up September 17th and decided not to go to work because I didn’t feel well. What I didn’t know is that a Bell’s Palsy attack was beginning. I am 34, and for a couple days before, I had headaches and what felt like a coating on my tongue. Early on in the first day, my right eye was watering and my lips felt numb and tingly, but I could still eat and drink. In the early afternoon, I realized something weird was going on, and when I looked in the mirror I was horrified and scared. A trip to the ER and I was diagnosed with Bell’s. Of course the next few days, I read everything I could about it on the internet and came across this forum. After being told that I would probably recover quickly many times, my spirits lowered after reading many of the posts here. I know people do suffer the effects of BP for months and even years, and I really feel for them. However I just wanted a story out there that can maybe make people like I was only few weeks ago feel better. So anyway, after having half of my paralyzed, on the ninth day I noticed for the first time a slight improvement. I could kinda sorta whistle (poorly, but still). Every day after that there was a great improvement, and after two weeks, I was fully back to normal. Comments
