To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download CFS symptoms/Celiac Disease My doctor was treating me for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or possibly fibromyalgia. My father has celiac with the classic digestive symptoms and I did not have any of these problems. I had aching joints and muscles, fatique [fatigue], foggy memory, etc. I finally decided to be tested for celiac and was diagnosed as having the disease. Celiac is an autoimmune disease that effects the small intestine. After about 4 weeks of faithfully following the gluten-free diet I was free of my CFS symptoms. If I ingest just a bit of gluten now I will begin hurting and feeling awful after just a few hours. I hate to think that if my father did not have celiac I would not have know about this disease and would have lived out my life battling the awful symptoms and never knowing what was causing it and that it is completely treatable.
