    I am a 41 yr old woman who has had type 1 diabetes for 37 yrs. Last year I got diagnosed with polyneuropathy of the femoral lateral cuteaneous nerve, or the big nerve in my thigh. I felt like I’d been hit by a truck! I almost ended up in a wheelchair and the pain clinic sent me to a pain therapy group, which was good at first but half way thru I got sick of the “poor me” attitude, so I left. [more..]

    I was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 14. As of now I am 26 and had my first seizure 3 months ago.Unlike many I was unaware of what was happening to me.I was first put on Keppra— but the side effects were worse than the seizure so then I was switched to Lamictal xr and dilantin at bedtime.
