a couple of years ago my sister was diagnosed with colon cancer, after doing much research on it our whole family got a colonscopy done,my sister had stage 3, and was 41 the time she was diagnosed, thankfully, she is doing great, the doctors say she is a miracle.

my dad was diagnosed with a precancer polyp, it was removed, and we did a colonscopy , wich cane back negative of any other polyps, and we did a catscan which determined he had an Aneurysm, of the areota, before he could do surgey , they did major blood work, and did a catscan on his lungs to make sure he was healthy enough for the surgery, he was, everything went well, in fact he recovered very quickly and was on his feet in a couple of days, doctors were amazed he was sent home , much sooner than expected, at that time he was 71, now my dad is 75, he does alot of walking eats healthy, and we go for check ups every three months along with current catscans, and a recent mri on his head, which all came back negative and in good health. now the story begins…

we went to his regular check up, and i requested for a catscan to make sure he was still good the doctor agreed, this time something showed up in the chest area, to be safe we went back for another catscan, i received a phone call from the nurse who told me the results did not look good and that we needed to set up for a pet scan, my heart dropped, how could this be? not even in a year time something that quickly shows up, she said they found a mass on the left lower lobe about 66mm, he has had so many cat scans and mri and all were great how can this be? he has no signs other than he has smoked for many years and quit over 2 years, every so often he has a slight dry cough, his weight is good hes always walking he eats, can it be lung cancer is 66mm bad, what are his chances please help me understand.
