Spinal Cord Stimulator for Neuropathy

Hi Everyone…

I am like everyone on this forum, I too suffer from Neuropathy Mine was caused by nerve damage in my lumbar spine…L4 and L5 where I have rods, screws and also scar tissue from the surgery. The scar tissue impinges on the nerves. My pain is in both feet and legs below my knees. The pain is savage especially in my poor feet. For the past 5 years my life has been a living h#%l!!

On June 4th. this year I had a spinal cord stimulator (SCS) implanted in my spine to ease the chronic pain I have suffered with for so long. The stimulator is not a cure but a treatment. You exchange one sensation(pain) for another sensation(tingling) I will take the tingling any day over the pain.

My leg pain has been reduced 100% thanks to the stimulator and my savage foot pain reduced 60%!!

Before I was on heavy duty narcotics and now I still take narcotics for my break thru pain but in a much lower dose.

Thanks to the stimulator I feel almost normal again!! I say almost coz normal people do not tingle or have a battery implanted in their back that has to be recharged every week. I feel sorta like a wind up toy(LOL) Wind me up and I am good to go another week.

If anyone would like to know more about an SCS (spinal cord stimulator) please leave a comment and I will answer all questions. Life for me is good again!!

Best of luck to all and may the sun always shine on you.
Patsy
