I retired from the military in 2006 and 3 years prior to that is when my feet started burning going numb, and felt like pin pricks under my feet near my toes.

I first complained to my doctor that my feet felt strange. My shoe were no longer comfortable. Blood work was done with the results of inflamation. I was told not to worry it should go away.

I had an operation to remove a peptic ulcer resulting in a small bowel obstruction,The doctors delayed almost 24 hours before operating resulting in my immune system being badly compromised.

Three weeks ago I was sitting down doing nothing in particular when a sharp, rapid fire pain struck me on the outside of the back of my Left knee. Did’t think anything of it until it happened several times more during the next week.

In November of 2007, after obtaining numbness first in my hands, then my legs and feet, I was sent to have a brain, head and neck scan utilizing an MRI The film confirmed that I had a herniated disc in my neck. On April 29, 2008, after researching my neurosurgeon thoroughly, I had surgery for a herniated disc; it was a fusion of C5 and C6 in my neck.
