CPAP is the best thing since sliced bread for Sleep Apnea

35 y/o female. I was diagnosed with obstructive sleap apnea only three years ago. Prior to this I had learned to live live with this undiagnosed problem for many years. I struggled alot with massive migraines unable to keep my weight over 115 lbs, very irratable, always extremely tired, and some of you won’t admit it but lack of sex drive because I was so tired.

It took me some time to figure out that running in the morning after waking with a migraine would ease the pain. By running I was restoring the oxygen to my brain that I had deprived it of all night. I got my energy off of 4 Tall boy Mountain Dew AMPS a day. The irratability, weight and sex drive I was never able to crack.

Now that I have my CPAP I feel so alive, rarely have headaches, am at a comfortable 140 lbs. I feel so healthy and now I can even stay up late at night along with my husband and share a good evening after our Son goes to sleep.

My 1st nasal CPAP did not work for me I had to get a full face mask. I have gone on several occasions without using it and definately feel the difference. I have even taken my CPAP to the field because I too am in the Army. I have refused to let this disease beat my will to survive and advance in my career.

So in the end continue to exercise (run, if you can’t run then walk and take deep breaths) especially after you wake up, because this will ease the headaches, as little as 15 minutes air will help.
