To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download passed out I had had dizzy spells for years, but recently increased. Then got out of bed in the morning 5 days ago, made it to my door, then felt this heavy woosh through my head and all my muscles went limp. I didnt feel myself hit the floor, and I screamed as laying there spinning fast down what felt like a deep dark hole. My husband came in and tried to get me up, but I couldnt get up. Went to er, had mri, and mra, and other than temporal lobe scarring which I knew I had, everything is fine there. This is not thought to be seizure related, so next I go to an ent next week. For several days I couldnt take a single step on my own, or even balance on the toilet! The last two days Ive walked a little, but my legs are wobbly trying to keep balance. Like others, I thought is was s stroke that I was dying. First two days I would scream every time I moved, it is so scarry. I am 40, but this has reduced me at times to child like feeling. If I get in one position, and dont move, the spinning, tilting, falling, etc. stops, but I still feel a bit woozy all the time. I havent thrown up at all though, but have woken up in sleep feeling like I might. This is the scariest thing I have ever felt before. I read here that it only lasts for a few hours, but my big one hit 5 days ago, and although I can scoot around a bit now, and hold onto walls and walk a little, it still isnt gone, just slowly improving. I never want to drop like that again, or be as dizzy spinning as I was the first few days of this. I honestly thought I was going to die! Before this began, I noticed my dizzy spells (which werent vertigo like this yet) would increase in grocery stores, or while riding in the car, and I thought it was just “nerves” but now I am seeing that something was happening long before this big episode began. I bruised one knee that hit something when I collapsed, then noticed my neck hurt later that night, must have whip lashed it in the fall, but my head is fine, didnt hit anything but the carpet. Doesnt look like anyone responds to messages on here much, but I am glad its here, because I feel alone with this, as others do not quite understand that can’t feel it, plus I wanted others to know how it happened to me. So, if your dizzy a lot and feel like your walking in a rocking boat, like I did on and off for a few years, maybe get checked out before you collapse and think your dying, like I did. This isnt fun at all, but thankfully it sounds like I will live Comments
